In the wake of Texas Sen. Wendy Davis' news-making 13-hour filibuster, several female celebrities have lent their support to efforts to stop Texas from passing a restrictive anti-abortion bill.
Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines, House's Lisa Edelstein and Law & Order: SVU's Stephanie March joined Davis, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards and NARAL president Ilyse Hogue at a rally outside the Texas State Capitol.
Monday's rally coincides with a special session of the legislature being held to try to reconsider the bill, a vote on which was thwarted by Davis' filibuster last week.

In addition, Friday Night Lights alum Connie Britton released a limited-edition "What Would Tami Taylor Do?" T-shirt, in partnership with Planned Parenthood, to show her support for those opposed to the abortion bill.
The front of the shirt reads "WWTTD? What Would Tami Taylor Do?" -- a reference to her character in the beloved NBC/DirecTV series. The back of the shirt says "standwithtexaswomen.org." The shirts are available here during July only and start at $22.
"The character Tami on Friday Night Lights is a Texas woman deeply committed to her community and to standing up for what is right for her neighbors and the people she loves," Britton said in a statement. "I have been inspired by how people around the country have united to stand with the women of Texas, and I can't help but think that, in this moment, we all have the opportunity to join with and become strong, powerful Texas men and women."
